Education in Omaha is provided by many private and public institutions. The oldest school in Omaha is Brownell-Talbot School, founded in the town of Saratoga in 1863; the oldest building in continuous usage is Omaha Central High School. Omaha Public Schools runs the city's largest public school district and is the largest school district in Nebraska with more than 45,000 students in more than 75 schools.
