Gene Leahy

The Gene Leahy Mall

Gene Leahy was the mayor of Omaha from May 26, 1969 to May 28, 1973. He was instrumental in the transformation of the downtown area. The Gene Leahy Mall was built and named after him. He died on January 18, 2000.
