General Crook House

The Nebraska State Historical Marker describing the General Crook House.

The General Crook House is Italianate style house that is located in Fort Omaha at the corner of North 30th and Fort Streets. The house was completed in 1879 for General George A. Crook's Army command of the Department of the Platte. Today it is the home of the Douglas County Historical Society, and includes a museum filled with 1800s Victorian-style furniture and military exhibits, as well as ornate Victorian-style gardens and the Douglas County historical archive.
