Hy-Vee
Hy-Vee is an employee-owned grocery store with over 200 stores in the midwest, over $4.6 billion in revenues and is one of the top 15 supermarket chains in the nation. Hy-Vee's motto is "a helpful smile in every aisle." This motto expresses the corporate foundation upon which the store was built. Hy-vee is an employee owned grocery store There are eleven stores in the Omaha metro area. Hy-vee is not only a grocery store because it is also equipped with a bakery, florist, fresh food to eat, butcher, and pharmacy. Most Hy-vee stores also offer catering services. The company was founded in 1930 by founders Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg in Beaconsfield, Iowa.
