Midlands Hospital, also know as Alegent Health Midlands Hospital, has been setting the standard for care in community medical centers in Sarpy and Cass counties for more than 25 years. Midlands is the only hospital located in the area that provides medical expertise in cardiovascular, orthopedics, oncology, surgical services, maternity services and emergency room services. Midlands Hospital is licensed for 150 beds and is part of the Alegent Health System, one of the nation's top 20 fully integrated healthcare systems. If there is a need for a primary care physician or specialist, they have physicians on their staff in Bellevue, Papillion, Gretna, Plattsmouth, Millard, Omaha, and Weeping Water.

1976 - Through the leadership of physicians and the community, Midlands was built to replace Doctors Hospital which was located at 501 Park Avenue since 1911.

1997 - Midlands Hospital joins Alegent Health.
