Nebraska Furniture Mart is a furniture company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. NFM is located on 72nd and Dodge. Nebraska Furniture Mart is home to over 185,000 appliance and electronic items, 85,000 home furnishing items, plus a legendary flooring stock that includes over .25 million square yards of carpet.

Nebraska Furniture Mart was founded by Russian immigrant and entrepreneur Rose Blumkin (nicknamed Mrs. B in store ads) in 1937. Mrs. B was known for her business savvy and dedication, even when a 1975 tornado resulted in millions of dollars in damages. She ran her business with the philosophy "Sell cheap and tell the truth." She worked in the business until age 103, even after agreeing to sell it in 1983 to investment guru Warren Buffett and his Berkshire Hathaway Corporation for $60 million, sealing the deal with a simple handshake.
In the early 1990s, the company opened the NFM Mega Mart, which sold computers, software, music, videos and personal electronics items as well as TVs and appliances. The NFM Mega Mart was in a new building located just west of the main store in Omaha. In the early 2000s, the NFM Mega Mart name was discontinued and the building is now branded like other buildings on the Nebraska Furniture Mart campus. The product mix from NFM Mega Mart is still sold in this building.

The store in Omaha is separated into three large buildings - the Main Furniture Store, the Appliance and Electronics Center, and Mrs. B's Clearance Center and Factory outlet. A state-of-the-art drive-through customer pick-up area serves customers quickly and efficiently. Omaha's campus covers 77 acres and claims the status of the largest furniture store in the world. The branch located in Kansas City, Kansas is also one of the largest furniture stores in the region.
Nebraska Furniture Mart also owns Homemakers Furniture in Urbandale, Iowa, a suburb of Des Moines. Homemakers itself has a branch store in Altoona, Iowa, which is advertised as a factory outlet store. In addition to the Homemakers division, Nebraska Furniture Mart has a branch store in the Des Moines suburb of Clive which sells appliances only.
