Gerald R. Ford, Jr. was born Leslie Lynch King, Jr. in Omaha on July 14th, 1913. Ford was the 38th President of the United States of Amercia from 1974-1977, and the 40th Vice President from 1973-1974. Ford became President after the resignation of Richard Nixon in the wake of the watergate scandal, for which Ford granted a full pardon to Nixon. In 1977, Ford was succeeded by Jimmy Carter as President.
