The Heartland of America Park is a 31 acre park located directly between downtown Omaha and the Missouri River.

During the summer months the park features an inexpensive boat ride around the lake. The park features a large lake with a colorful fountain capable of shooting water 300 feet into the air. The fountain shoots water so high into the air that there have been instances in which it has had to be turned down because the water sprays all the way to Council Bluffs. During the warmer months, there are free Friday night concerts which start at 7pm.

In the winter, the Park has an annual ice sculpture exhibition. Big blocks of ice are brought to the park and artists work their magic and turn the blocks of ice into sculptures. The sculptures are then available for viewing to the public.

The park is connected to the Gene Leahy Mall and is located next to the ConAgra Foods headquarters. read more ...
