Russell Middle School is a middle school located in west Omaha just southwest of 172nd and Q Streets. It opened in August 1994 and is named after George F. Russell, founder of Millard Lumber. It is part of the Millard Pubic School District. The mascot is the Timberwolf. Since George F. Russell founded Millard Lumber, the school board thought the mascot should have something to do with lumber, so they thought of the timberwolf.
