Sarpy County

Sarpy County is located south of the city of Omaha in eastern Nebraska. It has a population of about 122,000. Sarpy County is home to Bellevue, Gretna, La Vista, Papillion, and Springfield. It is also home to Offutt Air Force Base. It is the smallest county in the state of Nebraska with only 241 square miles, however, it is the third most populated county. The county is named after Peter A. Sarpy, a fur trader. Sarpy County is one of the fastest growing counties in Nebraska.
