Standing Bear Lake

Standing Bear Lake is a 685 acre Omaha city park located in northwest Omaha at 6404 North 132nd Street. It has a decent fishing area with average water quality. Rainbow Trout are stocked seasonally during the late fall and winter months. Trout stockings offer anglers excellent opportunities for fast action both during the open water season and through the ice. Bass, catfish, drum, bluegill, and crappie are also available. The lake is well known for its trophy carp. It is frequented by couples of all ages to view the scenic lake at dusk. This lake sits amid several different housing developments. It is easy to get to, but quietly secluded from the daily hustle and bustle. You will find fishermen and boaters out on the water from spring to fall. A biking and walking path provides good exercise for both people and pets year-round. Picnic areas and public bathrooms are both available. Admission is free.

There is one boat ramp and the park is handicap accessible.
