UNO Basketball
The University of Nebraska at Omaha's Mavericks basketball team is led by Derrin Hansen, who completed his second season as head coach with a 15-16 record after serving as assistant coach for seven years. During these seven years he helped the UNO basketball program achieve a 131-73 record, two NCC regular season championships, one tournament championship and three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Kenya Crandell and Jevin Budde serve as associate head coach and assistant coach, completing their sixth and first seasons, respectively.
The basketball team plays at UNO's Sapp Fieldhouse, and hosts the Thanksgiving Classic and Cage Classic annually.
