West Dodge Road
West Dodge Road is one of the main east-west streets in the Omaha area. West Dodge Road begins just just west of 78th street where the main six lane road curves right and Dodge Street continues up the hill (between Methodist Hospital and Children's Hospital) and terminates at 84th Street. West Dodge Road becomes an expressway just west of 90th Street and there is an elevated expressway from I-680 through 132nd Street.
The street numbers for north/south streets in Omaha are numbered based on whether they are north or south of Dodge Street with approximately every 1,000 representing one mile. Thus, 5000 South 84th Street would be about 5 miles south of Dodge and 882 North 84th Street would be about one mile north of Dodge.
