Zorinsky Lake Park
Zorinsky Lake Park and Recreation Area is an Omaha city park that is located west of a dam close to 156th and âFâ Street that is named for Edward F. Zorinsky, who was a mayor of Omaha from 1973 to 1976 and U.S. Senator from 1977 to 1987. Zorinsky Lake Park features a large lake ideal for fishing and boating, playgrounds, walking trails, picnic areas, five baseball fields, football field, and three soccer fields on 1000 acres. The lake and recreation area sits on more than 1,000 acres of land. Covered picnic areas ensure not even a rain shower will ruin your lunch or supper. Admission is free. There are paved bike trails and walking paths that go around Zorinsky Lake with about 4.3 miles of trails for the east end of the lake (from 156th to 168th Street) and about 3.1 miles of trails for the west end of the lake (from 168th to close to 180th Street).
